Over the last few days, I've been checking out to see what tools I need to do live 'simulcasts' that people can listen to while they watch a game on TV. I tried to use TalkShoe and their tool ShoePhone. I have to say that there were a number of level problems trying to combine live commentary with background music. (I got the iTunes music to come through the mic channel via JackOSX.) After sorting those out, though, I still couldn't get it to record nicely. I got about five minutes of terrific audio then it began to break up and never recovered. The mac I was using has pretty limited memory, so perhaps that was the problem.
