Last night I went to the Paris Entrepreneurs Meetup....
The meetup was smaller than expected; with the stifling heat and humidity here (30C with what seems like 75% humidity) perhaps folks didn't want another metro trip and walking up and down the hills of the Mouffetard area. Anyway, I met number of nice people there--including a number of biz dev folks--and all of them were expats. The english-speaking nature of "meetup.com" obviously had a huge influence. I have gotten some leads on some French speaking meetups that I am going to check into.
On the way there, I saw a man riding the metro with his two very well-behaved Chihuahuas! He had them on leashes that looked more like strands of twine! I wish I had had a camera! The two dogs were not upset by the crowds of people, didn't make a peep, and sat down next to their owner when asked. When he reached his stop they got up and went out with him--making the "huge" jump for them over the gap! Awesome.
I've taken the cats on BART, but they hated it. (Squealing wheels too much for their sensitive ears.)
